Shakira Octavo Dia Lyrics

Title: The Eighth Day

On the eighth day, God, after working so hard
In order to relive His tension after His revision
Said, “Everything looks great, it’s time to rest”
and He went for a walk through the universe

Who would have thought that this same God, upon returning
Would find everything in a hellish mess
And that He would become just another unemployed person
Among the number that is growing yearly, non-stop?

Since then there are those who have seen Him
Pass alone on the streets
He walks as he waits patiently for someone
With whom He can at least hold a pleasent convensation

Meanwhile, this world
Spins round and round and can’t be stopped
And here below, a few manipulate us like chees pieces
I’m not the kind of idiot that let’s himself be fooled
But I’m telling the truth
And even a blind man can see it

If for lack of employment or from excessive loneliness
God couldn’t stand it anymore and He left for another place
it would be our ruin
We would have no other choice
But to worship Michael Jackson, Bill Clinton or Tarzan

It’s more difficult to be a king without a crown
Than to be a more ordinary person
Poor God, He doesn’t appear in magazines
He isn’t a model or an artist or royalty

Meanwhile, this world
Spins round and round and can’t be stopped
And here below, a few manipulate us like chees pieces
I’m not the kind of idiot that let’s himself be fooled
But I’m telling the truth
And even a blind man can see it

Meanwhile, this world
Spins round and round and can’t be stopped
And here below, a few manipulate us like chees pieces
I’m not the kind of idiot that let’s himself be fooled
But I’m telling the truth
And even a blind man can see it
